In reply to the discussion: Protesters shout 'babykillers' at Jewish elementary school children [View all]AloeVera
(4,246 posts)I quoted the parts I thought were important to get people to ask questions about whether anti-semitic and cruel "attacks on Jewish children" really happened.
The "we love you" chants were made by the 12 remaining protesters, at their fellow protesters as they were being freed from their chains by the police. Nothing unusual in that. The parent may not have been aware they were also protesters. Which would be odd, given that she's claiming they were screaming at her children and carrying signs implying genocide against her.
What's up with me posting this? That should be obvious and not in the way you might be assuming. Short answer is I like facts and truth and despise distortions and propaganda in all its forms, even when told by a sincere believer. The longer answer and one you might find offensive is that I'm concerned about how Netanyahu and his government uses this outrage and the anti-semitism charges against the protesters for his own nefarious purposes to drum up support for his "war". When and wherever those charges might be false, I feel a moral imperative to bring it to light. You can condemn me for that if you want, but I hope you will see some truth and validity in my perspective.
I also feel that the vast majority of protesters are like these local people, who are simply people of conscience with no anti-semitic views, who have been unfairly painted as such and that unfairness bothers me.
