Elon Musk acts like he is an absolute monarch. His wealth gives him the power to be one.

The US was born in a war to rid ourselves of all powerful kings and to establish a representative government with checks and balances.

Note only does Musk decide what our electric vehicle charging network shall be, he has also been creating his own foreign policy, at odds with our elected president.
