don't even realize that they've been played by reichwing billionaires and politicians since 1980, just to get their votes through

FEAR FEAR FEAR, the reactionary 5 star strategy. And the billionaires and politicians don't give two sweet shits about abortions, LGBTQ rights, crime, immigration, or Great Replacement. All just FEAR trigger points to gain votes for their real objectives - deregulation and lower taxes on the rich, against the interests of the very suckers supporting them.
