GOP strategy for Rice [View all]
I cannot help but think the real reason behind the GOP's stink about Ambassador Rice has to do with their number of senators. I might be cynical, but if they continue to raise objection and the president doesn't nominate her who would he nominate for Secretary of State? It is assumed that choice would be Senator Kerry, leaving Scott Brown to "vulture" Kerry's seat in a special election as before. Is it possible this is all simply a ploy to increase GOP seats before the midterm elections in 2014?
