Just 1-percent interest on a billion smackers is $10 million per. So, if Dan the Cable Man has a competent dart thrower at a favorite hedge fund that returns 8 percent annually makes his money grow by $80 million per. With tax breaks and accounting wizardry, who knows how much that can be?
Imagine the benefits enjoyed by the rich who can hire the experts needed to "invest" money into the illegal drug trade. I've heard they were able to double and triple their dough on each deal.
