41. Too old to leave this time around. More importantly, I think there's a historic worldwide shift going on...

I’ve felt it ever since Trump got into office — we are not the only democratic nation on the verge of voluntarily giving up our democracy by voting in an autocrat.

So take your pick of nations on the verge — frankly I think I will stick with this one, and if my bones lie here, well here is where I planned for them to lie anyway.

If you want a really apocalyptic point of view from Hekate: everywhere there are wars and rumors of wars, as the very old saying goes. Often they are ginned up as a distraction for some powerful group’s benefit. Distraction from what, this time? Catastrophic climate change — and it is here.

Sorry, DUers, I generally try to keep such thoughts to myself. It’s a beautiful day here, with the flowers blooming and a break in the May-gray of the Central Coast. Two miles from here my BIL & SIL are nurturing their garden and orchard — keeping their patch of the Earth fertile and beautiful. I think they are very wise.
