Would use the word "Happy" to commemorate a day that is not very happy.

The next day we honor sacrifice? The 4th of July when a group of REAL Patriots wrote a draft letter to King George II letting him know that the colonies were not going to put up with his tyrannical rule anymore. That war for Independence lasted over 7 years from April 19, 1775 to September 3, 1783.

The very FREEDOM and INDEPENDENCE he wants to end. How IRONIC.
