You want to talk witch hunt? This is literally what people who tried to deal with disease and death were subjected to during the Witch Trial days by an ignorant, frightened public. If the patient lived it was witchcraft. If they died it was witchcraft. And those who wanted power screamed and stomped those ignorant into a frenzy so they could be leaders. Mob leaders.

The fallacy of medicine being exact, of somehow knowing everything to do without making necessary errors and struggling to learn how to deal with disease and death, has held back many a potential lifesaver.
