Dear Editor:

Claims that President Biden has “weaponized” the Justice Department against Donald Trump are not supported by any facts.

It was President Trump’s Justice Department that indicted Michael Cohen in 2018 for participating in the same crime for which Donald Trump was just convicted by a jury in a State Court in New York.

Additionally, the U.S. Justice Department has put Sen. Menendez (D-NJ) on trial for bribery and indicted Congressman Henry Cuellar (D-TX) for corruption. With the Senate currently tied at 50/50 and the margin in the House of Representatives razor thin, these would be the opposite actions expected from a Justice Department supposedly run by partisan Democrats.

Probably most telling, is that President Biden’s own son, Hunter, is currently on trial in federal court, being prosecuted by Biden’s Justice Department.

Politicians and supporters claiming the Justice Department is partisan or has been “weaponized” are trying to diminish the political consequences of Donald Trump‘s conviction and those yet come.
