15. Had a similar experience

Ran into a former co-worker recently that I had not seen in awhile and in the course of our conversation I asked him what he thought of the NY verdict and he stated that it was a travesty of justice and that we shouldn't be trying to jail our political opponents. I stated "we" didn't. He was tried in a state court, indicted by a NY Grand Jury, he had a fair trial in which he could have called witnesses and taken the stand in his own defense and found guilty by a jury that he had a hand in picking himself.
None of that seemed to matter. Wasn't sure where to go with it and made a more small talk and left him in the coffee shop
