1. Hamas must surrender now

There is no hope of changing course. Hamas started a war because it thought violence would achieve results different than other means. They failed. Moreover, they gave Israel license to commit acts of war. Hamas has the war it wanted, but it is not going their way. Protesters who want to promote peace must change public discourse. Rather than encourage Hamas (or Houthis or Hezhollah) , they need to tell Hamas to surrender and release hostages. Then rebuilding can begin.
