31. Why do people even bother with mentioning the flag code

As if it matters? The flag code might as well be written on water. It isn't a law because it results in zero legal penalty.

It's a list of recommendations, not requirements, like 'brush your teeth every day, or 'eat your veg'. So she can violate it all she wants, and there's bloody bugger all anyone can do about it.
