It is a matter of a corrupt, purchased system.

As long as we keep treating the betrayals as flukes and inexplicable psychological lapses, we will never solve this problem.

There is no strange, mysterious medical epidemic of pathological timidity that has infected only the Democratic side of Washington, and only when they need to push against Bush-style corporate economic, war, or police state policies.

No, we have a SYSTEMIC problem of billions of dollars in corporate money flooding our government and making our representatives, including our President, reluctant to represent us on these issues. We need to recognize that serious, serious problem, and we need to deal with it.
