4. It would be good if people understood a little more about what "peer review" means.

In simple terms, you submit your work (which IS your life if you're a real scientist) to "hostile" others (WORSE than the DU) and let them rip and tear absolutely everything about it, from the placement of commas to "conclusions". It's collegial, but NOT friendly.
