Prior to the end of 2019 and early 2020, Covid may have been here in the United States in an earlier form. But nobody knew what it was, even the doctors thought it was "some kind of flu." But it was much more serious, even deadly for some people.

Any virus that affects your breathing AND gives high temp fevers is serious no matter what we call it. My son and his family were very sick with "flu" (or so he thought) in 2019 before we'd even heard of Covid-19. It probably wasn't flu, but there's no way to prove it now. They live in Manhattan, on the edge of Chinatown on the Lower East Side

Hong Kong flu, maybe that was an early version of Covid? I don't know.
