20. While I don't think it's a mass conspiracy,

I do think we're seeing what happens when business- and career-related goals don't align with what's best for the country or its people. The major narrative that's been crafted about President Biden is that he's old. That's been the "story" for years now, and it's a source of division that can be easily exploited. Had the debate gone well for Biden, the vultures would have just waited to pounce on some other event or incident they could use to promote their narrative. It seemed like some of these personalities had basic drafts of their stories/posts ready to go beforehand. It was just a matter of filling in the details.

I suspect that a not small number of media personalities, pundits and influencers, view a second Trump presidency as an opportunity to gain more viewers and followers, build their brands, get better time slots or contracts, etc. Others are probably just hoping for a short-term boost in engagement from scared people searching for answers.
