The goal is to destabilize our society.
Once a society is destabilized it is easier to grab power and wealth.

Much of this is funded by our enemies who want a weak America
so they can become the sole 21st century superpowers.

You are also quite right, the goal is to balkanize the US into
various nation states. Putin has made this very clear.

His goal is to break up the US just like the USSR broke up.
He blamed all of this on the US and vowed revenge.

We can see various US states refuse to accept federal law.
And it will get worse.
