It is the institution, the continuing perpetual institution of democracy in our country. We should be very proud to be a part of that. Civility should be a part of that. Tough, vigorous, robust debate should be a part of it. Insulting, demeaning language, calling into question the motivation of another ought to have no place here.

(you DID read it, yes? hear the words as you spoke them? apparently not, because that sure does not describe the behaviour of the rethugs these many years)
