Brexit in the UK, the 2016 election in the USA (the current one as well, no doubt). Although Putin badly miscalculated with the Ukrainian invasion, he has certainly figured out that it is far more economical to wage a well-coordinated cyber attack on an adversary than launching a full scale military invasion. Even Cheney-Bush figured it out just in time with Iran: don’t invade them because they will shoot back.
