5. Not that it mollified them.

They complained that the certificate shoved up their rear end was not the "long-form" certificate. They complained that only a flat scan of the certificate was provided, and so Obama released a photograph of the certificate, being held in someone's hands outdoors in the sunlight.

That only led to them screeching that Obama was duplicitous, and had released "two different versions" of the document. I had to joust with some trolling intruder about that here on DU, early one Sunday morning during Obama's first term. One of the only times I ever alerted on a post.

Still, the manufactured "controversy" wouldn't die. Trump rode it into the political spotlight, and used it as a springboard to his candidacy. Which led to his disastrous presidency, and to the very real prospect of dictatorship that we now face.

As it was then, so it is today. Biden's detractors will not be appeased, because what they demand is not what they actually seek. They simply want Biden destroyed, because he has been much, much too effective.
