The person is almost certain to lose bigly and end their career. Harris isn't going to be backstabbing Joe, Newsome not ruining his 2028 chances . . . I mean, the deep bench gets really shallow when you start thinking about would lacks enough ethics to shove Joe out and take the nomination. A Joe Manchin is probably who you get in this scenario.
