Did they sweep the building?

We don't know. We assume so. But the shooter wasn't in the building so they wouldn't have caught him if they had. And when the rally started, the not exactly huge SS detail was covering the rally and not listening to the crowd talking about something happening outside of where they were covering. (Now, should the local LEOs have gotten involved? Absolutely yes. They were in charge of what was outside the perimeter, I don't know if the SS knew about what the rally attendees were saying. Although the snipers seemed to be paying pretty close attention to that building's roof and looked over the rifle probably about the time the would-be-murderer's head popped up over the roof ridge.)
