Amber Rose just made a huge announcement concerning her growing empire. The former exotic dancer is now the co-owner of the luxurious celebrity hotspot, Ace of Diamonds strip club in Hollywood. The mother-of-one was a stripper from the age of 18 to 25, and has said it was ‘the best time of my life’ when asked about the experience.
The 33-year-old made the announcement on Wednesday while accepting her Vanguard award at Russell Simmon’s All Def Movie Awards ceremony for her Amber Rose Slut Walk, which uplifts the disenfranchised through sex positive messages. “I was a dancer, I was an exotic dancer. I was a stripper for a very long time,” she said, according to E! News. Then she asked the audience, “Do y’all know Ace of Diamonds? Well, I bought it.” The co-owner and operator of Ace of Diamonds, Jason Robertson, confirmed the news and noted that Rose will emboldened the dancers. “Her role is boss lady,” he told E! News. “She is bringing in these dancers and these women and hostesses are having women’s rights more than what they had before. It’s not going to be them treated like pieces of meat. She’s brought in more of a structure where you have to respect what they’re doing. With that, I can’t say no to that. She understands it. She comes from it. She understands women more than anybody, I believe. She stands up for women more than anybody, I believe and she has overwhelming power over the whole situation.” Ace of Diamonds is the club that 50 Cent and The Game reportedly reconciled at last fall; it’s also the spot Amber and her ex-husband, Wiz Khalifa celebrated their divorce. In addition to co-owning the club, being an author (How to be a Bad Bitch) and running her SlutWalk organization, Amber is also the proud owner of MUVA Management that manages model, Tori (Brixx) Hughes.
