I've posted a score of times that I support Joe Biden. I admire him as both a person and as a president. Joe Biden is a great man and has been a great president. We all know that in our hearts.

I am also willing to adapt to what ever unfolds. This election is not about me or how I feel about Joe Biden. It is about American democracy. It is about all the people who will be harmed by the policies of MAGA extremism, including people yet to be born.

Remember PUMA, the organization formed after Hillary lost in the primaries to Obama? It was a big distraction and it made a lot of people very angry, in both camps. Let's not revisit that. I have no doubt that if Biden steps aside that he, along with other storied democrats like Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, will work hard to bring everyone onto the same page.

I think the ship on Biden's reelection may have already sailed. It sounds that way to me. The only thing that democrats can do is to adjust to a new reality and commit to defeating Trump in November.
