107. To those who have not yet received the message

When Democratic Underground is in "Primary Season," which takes place during the run-up to the presidential election before we have a presumptive nominee, members are of course permitted to campaign for the Democratic candidate of their choice.

Democratic Underground is currently in General Election season. This means that members are not permitted to campaign against the current Democratic nominee. The current Democratic nominee is Joe Biden.

If Joe Biden chooses to drop out of the race, we will essentially be in Primary Season again. If that happens, I will make an announcement to let everyone know what is going on. Until that happens, we are operating under General Election season rules.

I'm well aware that there are some people on DU who disagree with this policy. If you are one of those people, you are of course free to push the boundaries of the policy until you are either stopped by Juries or you decide to stop of your own accord.
