though. More clever would have been not to be so divisive and then let Biden announce his decision based on whatever, keeping bad feelings more at bay.

I don’t believe all of this was an act: him determined to run, pushing back, feeling somewhat betrayed. That’s unhealthy divisive stuff for the party to go through if it was just gaslighting.
