At many DFL Functions in and around Rochester that year, I remember the look on his face when I stood up to say to the group why I became a Democrat. It was in 1968 and seeing and hearing Bobby Kennedy give a passionate speech in San Jose the day before he was assassinated. Tim looked as if he was about to cry.
Throughout 2005 and 2006, we worked out butts off for him. We attended so many fundraisers for him, as well as attended debates that were held in the 1st CD. When he won his first term in Congress, we were at the DFL Office in Mankato. There I met Amy Klobuchar's in-laws. If Tim were selected, I know Amy, who is also a friend, would campaign hard as she is running for her 4th term as US Senator from Minnesota.
