Why does any scandal involving a Democratic politician turn into a weeks or months long story, usually ending with a resignation, while a much worse ReThug scandal fades away after a day or two? Why is Matt Gaetz still in office? Why isn’t Clarance Thomas being hounded daily by reporters asking about the lavish bribes gifts he accepts? And why did Joe Bidens poor debate performance lead to weeks of “concern” from all the news media while tRump promising to end democracy (voting) gets a pass?

The media doesn’t report the news, they make the news. They decide what’s important, and it’s driven by a very dubious agenda. Not ratings, not scandals, not creating a horse race. The billionaires who own the media know what they want and are shameless in pursuing it.
