not to mention, the Dem's (and The President) already AGREED to saftey net cuts, its called the DEAL THAT TAKES EFFECT ON JAN 1 IF NOTHING ELSE IS DONE. It's not a deal that our side cares for all that much, but since we decided we hate the Bush Tax Rates MORE than we dislike the cuts we will have to endure as part of the sequestration package, we are sort of ok with what will happen come the new year. Since that's the case, it has to be the GOP that has to offer something more palatable to US in order to make a NEW and BETTER deal on this thing.

And straight-up fuck anyone who can't or WON'T understand this, because it's not that damn hard.
