The ear would bleed noticeably even it is was just grazed.

This is not a conspiracy. It’s just a coincidence.

It happened. His ear was touched. It bled a bit.

It’s over now.

Oh, and… the shooter was an immature poor marksman. It was all luck really - or just poor skill if you don’t believe in luck. Regardless, the event is over now, along with any media bump it may have provided at the moment.
