HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE UNITED STATES COAST GUARD [View all]
Established 4 August 1790. I didn’t have much to do with the Coast Guard when I was in the worlds greatest Canoe Club but their Chow Hall on Poland Avenue in New Orleans near the industrial canal was awesome. Seafood Buffet Friday afternoons. Katrina did some awesome renewal in that neighborhood in 2005.
Coast Guard Motto: Semper Paratus, Always Ready.
Coasties have served our country in an outstanding manner for 234 years.
