I don't mean this snarkily. I'm just wondering if you're familiar with how hurricanes hit the Gulf Coast.

Here in Houston our power line company (basically a monopolistic trust) has screwed up managing repairs from the last two hurricanes, both of which were relatively mild. And people are pissed. This is something that will impact the next state elections. Will is swing the state lege blue? No, but it might purple the redness of state government.

Florida is a far more swingable state than Texas. I'm not saying it's likely to happen, but I do think that Florida, which Obama won twice, is absolutely worth fighting for.
