(26,848 posts)called journalists who fawned over for no apparent reason. Other than he's a good self promoter. I watched a guy who many times spat out word salad and went totally unchallenged. Sure, he promoted Tesla (a company he invested in and kicked out the actual founder), because it was good for his bottom line. I'll give him this. Since the big auto makers gave fuck all about electric cars. He figured he could get an opening and corner the market. That was smart. But other than that he's just a money guy, right place, right time, etc., etc.
The minute he started talking about things he knew nothing about. Like that time when those kids were trapped in a cave. Musk came up with some cocamamie shit about a submarine. To then call a complete stranger "a pedo guy", because they actually knew what they were talking about. It gave me ego maniacal, con man vibes.
