I'm uncloaking from lurk mode because I can't fathom a DU without you. I know it's been a very long time since you and I connected directly - oh, how I treasure those old days on DU2! - but even so, just knowing you were still here and posting every week made my heart happy.

I don't go to the Lounge, so I haven't been there to support you. I simply trusted that you were doing what made you happy, and that what you did made lots of other DUers happy too. I figured you had found your place of comfort and fulfillment, and that it was all good.

I have no idea what happened this past Sunday to mess that up, it had to have been something truly despicable since you are one of the most gentle, sweet souls I have ever gotten to know here. Fie on the soulless barbarian(s) who has (have) chased you off!

I cannot be silent about you leaving. You touched my heart deeply long ago and I will never forget that. I will wish you well whatever happens, but I would so much prefer that you could find a way to change your mind and stay. No matter what, please take my unconditional affection and heartfelt regard with you.

You will always have a place in my heart.
