I had a friend from Japan who settled here, got married, and was having a very difficult pregnancy. She couldn’t travel. The story of the death of her father was just heartbreaking. She told me that night after night leading up to his death she dreamed of travel. She flew. She took a bullet-train. Ship. Freeway. She never got to see her father. And yes, she did lose that baby anyway.
