16. I always wonder why people hate themselves so much they fall to those who hate them.

Women, gays, old people, POC, non-Christian faiths. We can see examples of them all, kowtowing to Trump and the Republican party.

I get being fiscally conservative, even socially conservative to some extent, but to speak for the party that basically wants you dead or enslaved? Serious mental health issues. I mean, we want you to live and thrive, and the Democratic party has a conservative bent that would suit very well. But to be Republican? I just don't get it.

Over the years I've come to believe that untreated mental illness if the biggest problem humanity faces. Fix that, we can get control of the other stuff, like global catastrophic climate change, poverty and violence.
