133. Let me add one more voice to the outcry

I managed to miss the original post that lead to the current state of affairs. I took a look. What a moran!

I read in another of salmon's posts that she started up here after her father passed away.

Well, my father passed away last week and I had to fly out of state for his funeral this past weekend. Got back home on Monday night around 12:30. First thing I did? Went over the lounge and looked for salmon's latest entries. Just what I needed.

I don't know what the demographics are for lolcat lovers, but I would have to guess that I'm not it. But I do have five cats (3 barn, 2 home) and four dogs. If I could take decent and well timed photos, my creatures could be lolcat models. I don't, so they aren't. And that's where salmonchantedevening comes in.

I've been here since, and there have been only a handful of posters who deserve to be admitted to a DU Hall of Fame, if there was such a thing. NewYawker99 was one, Top Ten Conservative Idiots is another. Plaid Adder, Jackpine Radical, n2doc, and a very small handful of others - and that's out of more than 150,000 signed up. Salmonchantedevening has had my vote for some time.

Sure, there are trolls here, and disruptors, and there certainly are more than a handful of irritating people. Hey, you get 150,000 people together in the same room, and it's damn near inevitable that some idiocy will ensue. Forget it. Let it pass. You contribute to the health and wellbeing of this community, and your departure would be a loss. Just put the clowns on ignore, and the rest of us will do what we can to alert to the personal attacks.

And, since I haven't formally said it, I would like to say thanks for your efforts.
