People are different and react differently. One person can receive a 100+ post pile-on and just shrug it off, while another may get discouraged by one single uncalled for attack. That doesn't make one person better than the other, or their contribution less important.

Now mind you, I'm not ascribing either of those profiles to SCE, this is a general point. I'm just saying that we as a community should try to do our best to make both those types of people and everything in between feel welcome and comfortable here, as long as they behave decently, respect the TOS and fit the political profile.

This is not to mean that we shouldn't argue or discuss, that's what we're here for after all. It just means we have to pay attention to *how* we argue.
