Or, is it just a risky way to aggravate, needle and "trigger" the supporters for the other candidate/s (while putting one's home and or auto's paint and tires at risk of being vandalized?)

I live in a mostly blue area on a busy corner & the first time I ever put a yard sign out was 2004 for John Kerry.

Yes... plus being targeted for road rage, brake-checking, aggressive following, etc.
