11. Her timing isn't so bad

I liken being married to Newt Gingrich to being a victim of abuse. Oh, I guess maybe the infidelity was also traumatic on her, too. Plus whatever her health problems at the time might've been (it was MS, right?). So she's dealing with three simultaneous traumas in her life. But you want to jump all over her for not trashing her then-husband in the press fast enough for you?

That seems a little cold to me. I get accused of being emotionally disconnected from time to time, but even I know better than to harsh out on a victim for hoping, somehow, that her marriage could be saved.
