(55,764 posts)56. got my first migraine after a passover seder when i was 13.
haven't knowingly consumed alcohol since.
i even get a migraine when i eat food that turns out to have been cooked with wine, so i even avoid that where possible. sadly, while many waiters do the right thing, far too often they don't know and prefer to lie or guess rather than just ask the chef.
what i really hate is the "all the alcohol is cooked off" crap. first, that's just plain wrong. MOST of the alcohol is cooked off, but hardly ALL of it. second, who said alcohol was my migraine trigger? in fact grapes and raisins are migraine triggers for me as well. probably the tannins or something else in the grape skin.

Yes every evening I have cocktail hour, I like alcohol the only thing I don't like is beer. nt
