17. The many threads and comments I see on DU criticizing the media

are not "knee jerk and stupid" at all. They are usually backed up with examples and reasons. I, for one, offer many criticisms of the corporate media because they deserve it. It is its fault that these RW talking points take hold in the first place and are repeated ad nauseum even on "progressive" stations. It is not solely VP Harris's responsibility to shoot down these talking points. It is the free press's job too. If VP Harris has to spend all her time debunking RW bad faith talking points, she has less time to critique her opponent, give an optimistic vision for the future, or inspire independent and republican voters. Cheato is not asked to respond to bad faith Dem talking points because there aren't any. My opinions may be knee jerk and stupid to you but guess what? Many agree with me.
