how this was such a surprisingly awful Trump performance. It was the usual Trump performance. Why do people persist in thinking he is suddenly going to straighten up and fly right, something he has never, not once, done. He called her a Marxist (check), he talked about how her border policy led to gazillions of criminals flooding the country (check), he made the requisite jaw dropper (neighbors eating cats). I mean, what did anyone expect? He performed on cue and I'm sure his followers loved it. It was vintage Trump.
