A couple of Sundays ago, when we had our usual blessings for birthdays, anniversaries, and those about to travel, one of the gay couples who attend our church came forward. Although same-sex marriage is not legal in Minnesota, those two men had been together for forty years. I hope they can live long enough to have a state-recognized marriage here.
