Harris campaign responds to tfg's Flint, Michigan stop this Tuesday [View all]

“Donald Trump failed Michigan workers and killed Michigan jobs as president, and on Tuesday Michiganders will see the same thing they saw on the debate stage: an unhinged, angry old man who is only focused on himself, and doesn’t have a single solution to offer to make their lives better. Instead, Trump’s Project 2025 agenda would raise costs on middle-class families by nearly $4,000 a year, send inflation skyrocketing, and send jobs overseas, just like he did last time. Only one candidate in this race has a record of creating jobs in Michigan and has real plans to lower costs for families, and that’s Kamala Harris.”

Bishop Chris Martin Sr., a pastor at Cathedral of Faith Church in Flint and Saginaw, issued the following statement:

“As clergy and community leaders, we are deeply dismayed by Donald Trump’s visit to Flint, MI. This is the same individual whose policies, including his tax cuts, disproportionately harmed many of our parishioners and working families—benefiting only the wealthy. He further hurt our communities by eliminating critical child tax credits that many relied on.

During the Flint water crisis, which unfolded during his time in office, Donald Trump offered no support or solutions. He is anti-union and has consistently failed to stand with the working class. If he didn’t come to Flint during our time of crisis, why is he here now?

We, the leaders and organizers dedicated to improving Flint, do not support this man.”
