In reply to the discussion: WalMart: License to Kill? [View all]rsmith6621
(6,942 posts)18. Come on Folks... USE COMMON SENSE
Even most police departments have policys where they will call off a chase or a foot pursuit.
My GOD the reallity of this that whatever she and her partners took wasnt justifyable cause for a ARMED store security officer to put themselves in danger way. After all in reallity the store cost of what they took was probaly about 25% of the Always Low price tags.
Walmart wants everything. they have medical clinics in their stores and they are looking into selling funeral plans... now their security has guns so what is next..providing citys a police force???
The store security has much more blame, it was their decission to grab on to the vehical, I frankly with just the facts of the story think security overstepped the line and in reallity did not use anymore sense than the suspected shopliffter. Store security put themseves in danger not the dead suspect. I dont think a street cop would have gone this far.
Security could have used their energy getting the plate number and let law authoritys do their job.

wish they had caught the takedown as we have no idea the amount of force used or if he simply hit
