(6,870 posts)He did it in 2020 for months, and then, when he got caught, they thought they had to shift their factoring data to adjust for the influence it had, when it really didn't actually affect the way people felt. Now, the aggregates make note of who owns the poll and their political affiliation or leaning.
Siena publishes their methodology, which explains exactly why they are now an outlier among national polls, showing the race tied while virtually every other national poll shows Harris up between 5 and 7 points nationally--they are using previous voter registration numbers to determine "likely voters." And so, their data is based on what they gathered while Biden was still running. And, it's the only New York based poll, and it has had an affinity for Trump since 2016, because of their connection to the NYT.
