although I expect them to get bigger and more frequent, but a combination of different natural disasters. My part of California has had an extended heat wave - this is normally our hottest time of the year, but previously high temps lasted for 2-3 days and then the fog rolled in, cooling things down. The current one has been going on for a week or more, due to a high pressure ridge sitting off the coast.

And let's not forget fires!
