(28,158 posts)I moved out of a more funded, yet over worked school district, into one less funded but with smaller class sizes. The idea was to have more personalized attention from the teachers. I already had a working relationship with the school prior to her switch. Which put me more at ease. In the end she went to a smaller school, but they have a much higher college bound rate. Her education ended up being much better.
It worked for us. Hopefully, you'll have the same outcome. Sometimes a little personal attention can go a long way with a child. It's impossible for teachers to provide 100% when they're stretched too thin. Everyone suffers in a situation like that.
