(11,139 posts)and violence. As an ex educator, this is one of the biggest barriers to student achievement. Many rules and legislative laws have been passed, but some parents always seem to skirt the consequences for their children. Teachers are often blamed for disruptive students, and it becomes a factor in their annual evaluation. However, attempts to deal with class room disruptors also result in accusations of teachers being abusive and in some cases criminal charges. Many public school teachers are well prepared to disseminate information and create inform and share situations, but the classroom disruptions dominate the day. It is also the reason that we are experiencing fewer college students entering the schools of education as career choices. Those who do attempt to become teachers are leaving teaching jobs as fast as they are hired. When questioned, discipline is one of the number one reasons.
